Master craftsman Radhakhrishna Stpathy, prays and offers a devotion at dawn before carving the eyes into a statue of the dancing Nataraja and thus 'awakening' it. At this stage it's 'Jeevan' or life force will be breathed into it, it will, for a set time (depending on where it 'lives' and how faithfully it's worshipped) become in a real sense, a God.
