Italy - Bologna - Lovers kiss at the Santuario della Madonna di Santa Luca
Couple kiss each other as one photographs on the balcony of the Santuario della Madonna di Santa Luca outside of Bologna. Sitting atop the Colle della Guardia hill at a height of 291 metres it is the home of the religious saint of Bologna. The current building is the design of Carlo Dotti started in 1723 and completed by his son, Gian Giacomo in 1775. A procession every May takes a copy of the icon from here to the city.The Santuario is connected to the city by the Portico Santa Luca it comprises of 666 arches over 3.6 kilometres with fifteen chapels and is the longest continuous arcade in the world....
