A man presses a pair of trousers with a traditional coal-filled iron at the dhobi ghat in Mumbai..Built at the turn of the century by the Raj, the laundry space is the largest in the world where approximately two hundred families hand wash clothes and hotel linen daily. The seven hundred concrete washing spaces are passed through generations of dhobi (laundry worker) families.
