a double amputee
A girl, a double amputee, walks through the streets of Freetown to the horror of passersby. The girl and her sister were caught by an RUF patrol in the bush, both raped and both double amputated. They were told to take their arms back to Kabbah, in mockery of his slogan, ?Äúthe future?Äôs in your hands?Äù. They were forunate to be picked up by an ECOMOG (Nigerian peacekeepers) patrol who got them to Freetown before they bled to death. Freetown, Sierra Leone, 1999
